BLUE EYES AND BLACK EYES
PRESENTED WITH CHATTERBOX CHRISTMASB[OX]

Coloured lithographic print after a painting by William Stephen Coleman (1829-1904) published in a Christmas supplement of Chatterbox magazine in 1887. Chatterbox was a weekly paper for older children founded in 1866 by John Erskine Clarke who edited the magazine until 1902. Publication continued until 1955. Issues were collected into hardcover annuals.

Loss to last 2 letters of imprint (Christmasbox) bottom right, otherwise very good condition.
