Magna Britannia by Thomas Cox published from 1720 by M. Nutt and J. Morphew. 
The work was issued under various titles until the end of the century for antiquarian interest.
Containing fold-out map of Hertfordshire by Robert Morden in the second state with compass rose, 77 pp. description of Hertfordshire paginated 965 to 1041, engraved distance tables copied from John Norden with arms of St Albans incorrectly titled Hertfordshire and Arms of Hertford.
No title page. Later faux snakeskin binding with pasted labels with manuscript text. Large bookplate of Arthur Capell pasted to front endpaper. This must be a later pasting as the work post dates the death of Arthur Capell  1st Earl of Essex (1631-1683) 1st Earl of Essex, Viscount Malden, 1st Baron Capell of Hadham, Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland  of Cassiobury House, Watford.
Map and distance tables in good condition. Pasted decription and arms of the town of Hertford to verso of distance tables.
