The mapmaker is John George Bartholomew (1860-1920), Geographer and Cartographer to King George V. and successor to the famous mapmaking and engraving business, John Bartholomew & Co., founded by his great-grandfather George Bartholomew (1784-1871).

Two maps, Northern map with inset map of the environs of Paris, Southern map with inset maps of Brittany, Corsica and plan of Marseiiles.

Repair to centrefold split of southern section 3cm. into map.
