Fine large engraving by John Le Keux (1783-1846) born in Bishopsgate, London, the eldest son of Peter Le Keux, pewterer manufacturer of Huguenot descent, and his wife , Ann Dyer. Originally apprenticed to his father but transferred to James Basire, to whom his brother Henry, also engraver, was already apprenticed. Married Sarah Sophia Lingard Sep 1809 and was the father of John Henry le Keux (1812-1896), also engraver.
