Showing the church, probably still under construction, now known as Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels with Porziuncola, Assisi. Partially rebuilt after an earthquake in 1832.

Etching by Israel Sylvestre (1621-1691) plate 11 from a series of 12 published in Vues d'Italie. by Pierre Marsette, Paris 1640-1660.

Born in Nancy in 1621, Sylvestre made several trips to Italy from about 1640 to 1653, producing a large number of fine etchings.
