Vanity Fair
Vanity Fair was a British weekly magazine founded by Thomas Gibson Bowles and published from 1868-1914. Noted for its full page colour lithographs of famous people of Victorian and Edwardian society drawn by various artists including Sir Leslie Ward (signed as "Spy or Draw"), Carlo Pelegrini ("Ape" and Singe"), Liborio Prosperi ("Lib"), Melchiore Delfico ("Delfico"), James Tissot ("Coïdé"), Prosper d'Epinay ("Nemo"), and Sir Max Beerbohm ("Bulbo" "Max" "RUTH").They are frequently known as "Spy" prints or cartoons after Sir Leslie Ward, Vanity Fair's most prolific cartoonist.
