Aaron Arrowsmith (1802-1854) Cartographer, globemaker, engraver and publisher. Hydrographer to the King, son of Aaron Arrowsmith (1750-1823) Cartographer, globemaker, engraver, publisher & surveyor. Hydrographer to the Prince of Wales from c.1810 and subsequently Hydrographer to King George IV. produced and published the work with his brother Samuel Arrowsmith ( 1805-1839) also cartographer, globemaker, engraver, publisher and Hydrographer to the King. They became partners in the business after their fathers death in 1823 trading as A & S Arrowsmith until Aaron left the business to become a minister in 1832. Samuel continued the family business until his death when the stock was bought by his cousin John Arrowsmith at auction in December 1839.
