Metropolitan Benefit Societies' Asylum.

The Metropolitan Benefit Societies Asylum was established in 1829 to provide accomodation for the old and infirm. The almshouses at 100 Ball's Pond Road, designed by Architect S H Ridley, were built in 1830's. By WW2 the society had changed its name to The Metropolitan Benefit Societies Almshouses and is today a registered housing association. 

Large lithograph in hand colour. Some handling marks to paper edges but with 4cm. margins all round, the print area is largely unaffected. A closed tear at bottom centre ends 2cm. from the title.
