Ensom after a painting by Sir Thomas Lawrence of Frances Mary Gascoyne Cecil Marchioness of Salisbury (1802-1839) The daughter of Bamber Gascoyne, married James Brownlow William Gascoyne-Cecil, second Marquess of Salisbury. She was a literary hostess and friend of John Gibson Lockhart.
