Topham Leeds.
Published in Barclay's Complete and Universal English Dictionary...Halifax: Printed at the Office of Joseph Nicholson. [1808].
Samuel Topham (1788-1861?) was an engraver, lithographer, copperplate-printer, portrait photographer, photograph colourist and manufacturer of "Gold and Silver Letters, Devices, Fancy Tilletings, Buckrams &c., &c., working in various addresses in Leeds from 1809-1861. His known cartographic output was fairly small; maps of some countries from an unidentified publication, a map of the southern lowlands of Brazil for John Luccock, and estate plans near Leeds.
Good example from an uncommon edition of Barclay's Dictionary in original hand colour.
