Engraved on a woodblock by Joshua Archer for publication in the The Guide To Knowledge Edited By W. Pinnock. The woodblock was inked with a roller without working the ink into the engraved cuts thereby, the printed result is of white lines on a black ground. The Guide to Knowledge was a magazine issued in weekly parts from 1832.
