A PLEASANT REFLECTION
FROM A PAINTING BY G. HARE. | W. H. KEEP & CO., LONDON.
Coloured lithographic print after a painting by Saint George Hare (1857-1933) published in a Christmas supplement of Chatterbox magazine in 1886. Chatterbox was a weekly paper for older children founded in 1866 by John Erskine Clarke who edited the magazine until 1902. Publication continued until 1955. Issues were collected into hardcover annuals.
Saint George Hare was an Irish artist who moved to London, studied at South Kensington, exhibited at the Royal Academy and was a founding member of the Chelsea Arts Club. 
Lacking white border at right edge.
