Copperplate engraving by Johannes Kip (1652/3-1722) after a drawing by Leonard Knyff (1650-1722) published c. 1708 in Britannia Illustrata. 
Cassiobury House was the ancestral seat of the Earls of Essex. The house was demolished in 1927 and the estate partly sold to Watford Borough Council to be used as a public park.
