Hand coloured lithographic transfer first published, intaglio printed from the copperplate, by Henry Teesdale and Co. in A new travelling atlas…in 1830.  The plates were re-issued by lithographic transfer in works of similar title by Henry George Collins in1848 and 1850, by W.S.Orr and Co. in 1852, and by John Heywood from 1856 until 1882.
Several changes were made to transfers during the publication period and this example is from the third lithographic transfer published by John Heywood in 1858.
Some light spotting and discolouration otherwise an attractive example in neat hand colour.
