TWO SHEET REDUCTION OF THE LARGE SIX AND A HALF SHEET MAP OF 1724. SHOWING THREE COUNTIES.

The Counties of ESSEX MIDDLESEX & HERTFORDSHIRE Actualy Survey'd by Several Hands Corrected and Amended & Humbly Dedicated to the Nobility and Gentry of the Said COUNTIES By Phil: Overton Mapseller in Fleet Street and Tho: Bowles Mapseller in St Pauls Churchyard 1726.

A reduced version of John Warburton, Joseph Bland and Payler Smyth's 6½ sheet map of the three counties published in c.1724. This reduced map, published by Philip Overton and John Bowles, is printed on two sheets joined and includes a town plan of St. Albans and a prospect of Colchester.

The map has several folds as usual and a few old small repairs here and there. The margins have some tape stains at the edges just touching the printed margin. The back of the map is somewhat browned and there is some browning at two vertical folds, otherwise a good example of an uncommon large map in original outline colour.

Hodson Printed Maps of Hertfordshire noted under the supplementary list of some other maps of Hertfordshire ref.III as a footnote to the large map above.
