The copper engraved plate is printed on the page of typeset text description of the gate and abbey and typeset title. The plate is not set square to the page. Page size is 15x25cm.
Gate to Stratford Langthorne Abbey also known as Westham Abbey, a Cistercian monastery founded in 1135 in Stratford. Nothing now remains of the Abbey, this gate in Bakers Row, survived until 1825.
