Cartographic Miscellany

Glass paperweight with original circular map of Hertfordshire by John Luffman. The map has been trimmed to fit the paperweight but has no loss of the printed area. This series of small circular maps were published in a small Georgian School atlas by John Luffman in 1803 and 1806. The survival rate of these atlases was low and the maps are now rare.
The map remains in good condition, is loosely fitted within the paperweight behind a gold mountcard.
