Blossoms at Christmas and FIRST FLOWERS OF THE New Year.
A TOKEN TO REMEMBER A FRIEND.
Drawn and Engraved by Jno Greig.
Published by J. Poole No. 8 Newgate Street
and Simpson & Marshall, Stationers Court.

Christmas token.
Copper engraving possibly by John Greig (fl.1798-1839) and published by J. Poole and Simpkin & Marshall.
Booksellers and publishers Simpkin and Marshall was founded in 1819 and traded until the 1940's. John Poole was trading in Newgate street in the 1830's.

Date at top of cartouche erased from the plate but traces remain and date after the publisher J. Poole also erased from the plate with traces remaining. The plate as originally produced included the year in the cartouche and the date of production in the imprint but presumably for re-issues in subsequent years the dates were erased.
Original hand colouring.
