Drawn and etched by Samuel Lysons (1763-1819) antiquarian and engraver born at Rodmarton, Gloucestershire, the younger son of the Reverend Samuel Lysons. This plate showing Tewkesbury Abbey, with the wooden Priests Bridge over the Swilgate in Gander Lane in the foreground, was produced for his publication of antiquities in his native county, Etchings of Views and Antiquities in the County of Gloucester, hitherto imperfectly, or never engraved. London, T. Cadell et. al. 1791.
