FISHER, SON, & Co. LONDON, 1835.

Steel line and stipple engraving by Steel line and stipple engraving by William Holl the elder (1771-1838). Holl, probably of German descent, is known for his stipple engraved portraits. In the 1820's he was one of the early engravers to use steel plates and was a pioneer in using steel plates for bank notes.
Hugh Oldham (c.1452-1519), English Cleric, Bishop of Exeter and founder and patron of Manchester Grammar School and Corpus Christi College, Oxford.
