Koko was a hair preparation marketed by the London firm Koko-Maricopas Ltd.
The brand name Koko was in use from 1887 until about 1915. Advertisements for the product claimed that it "Eradicates scurf, Promotes growth, Prevents hair falling out, Prevent it turning prematurely grey, and make it bright, soft and wavy.
The British Medical Association analised the product in 1912 and found it to contain about 94% water, 3% alcohol, 2% glycerine with traces of Borax, formaldehyde and perfume.
