Drawn by Edward Lear (1812-1888) for his first publication Illustrations of the Family of Psittacadiae, or Parrots in 1830, this plate was engraved and published by William Home Lizars (1788-1859), brother-in-law to the author of tThe Naturalist's Library, Sir William Jardine (by marriage of his sister Jane Home Lizars).
The paper is a a little spotted and browned in places.
Supplied in cream mount and barrier board (20x26cmo/all) ready for framing.
