Five large postcards (14cm x 20cm) in red wallet of the route from Bristol to Chester reproduced from Emanuel Bowen's road maps published in Britannia Depicta from 1720.
(Plates 143 to 147).
The date of 1782 on the front of the wallet is in error as is the note on the back of each card which incorrectly reads:
This series of postcards reproduced from the publication 'Paterson's England and Wales with Roads and Distances 1782-90' commemorates the Bristol/Chester Mail Coach route which ran through Hereford approximately 200 years ago.
Near mint condition.
