The shop, in Hertford, the historic county town of Hertfordshire, is situated in Parliament Square near Hertford Castle. Owned and managed by Mark Pretlove and Gill Woodhouse, the shop has a large stock of fine quality antique maps, many on display  in  conservation mounts and  examples in various framing styles. We specialise in English County maps and always have several examples of all English Counties with a large stock of Hertfordshire maps. Framed topographical prints fill all available wall space on the two upper floors where we have a good general stock of secondhand books managed by our friends, David and Ann of David Ford Books. David has over 20,000 books and manages to fit in about 5,000 in the Gallery.
