Twin Hemisphere World Map. A close copy of John Speed's map. The images depicting the four elements above and below the twin hemispheres are in a different sequence. First published as a loose sheet map in 1656 with Walton's imprint, this third and final state was published in Petau's History of the World with Walton's imprint removed. The map has been professionally conserved; there are additional horizontal and vertical folds and some deterioration to the top edge outside the printed area. There is no substantial loss within the engraved area and it remains a very decorative example of a rare map.
