Engraved by William Kip for publication in William Camden's Britannia. Based on the surveys of Christopher Saxton and John Norden, the maps first appeared in the 1607 edition of Britannia published in Latin and subsequently were issued in the first English translation by Philemon Holland in 1610 (twice) and finally in 1637. This example, with Latin text verso is from the first editon of 1607. Good early example with unusually generous margins.
